Foreigners purchase

Are you a foreigner considering buying real estate in Denmark?

Let us make it easier for you! We’re here to help you navigate the unique rules and requirements associated with foreigners buying real estate in Denmark.

The general rule is that, unless you have domicile in Denmark or you have had residence in Denmark for at least 5 years, you must have permission from the Department of Civil Affairs to acquire real property in Denmark.

If you are a national of an EU/EEA country (or Switzerland), you can normally acquire a permanent dwelling in Denmark without permission from the Department of Civil Affairs. Instead, you must file a declaration with the Danish Land Registration Court.

Let us help you realize your dream of buying Danish property!
